This particular role will be responsible for the service, training, education, and installation of NTE's automated processing equipment, both domestically and internationally. Your role is critical as a key representative through continued sales, marketing and customer service.

Education and Experience Background We Seek:

  • College level educational background related to Animal Science, Agriculture, Engineering, and/or Business.
  • An Associate's level degree is REQUIRED.  A Bachelor's level degree is PREFERRED.
  • A Mechanical/Technical aptitude is highly preferred.
  • Excellence in Communication, Account Management, and Presentation Skills.
  • The availability and flexibility to travel both domestically (in the U.S.A.) and internationally for periods up to two weeks at a time and 14 weeks per year.

CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Nova-Tech Engineering, a worldwide leader in hatchery and agricultural automation solutions located on the MinnWest Technology Campus in Willmar, MN, has full-time employment opportunities available to join their Manufacturing Team in the role of CNC Machinist on the 2nd Shift.  Nova-Tech is a thriving organization with a unique culture and fantastic environment to work in. This shift runs from 2:00PM - 2:00AM, Monday - Wednesday and 2:00 PM- midnight Thursday (no weekends).   This role is responsible for setup, prove out and running production parts in a repetitive batch environment on CNC lathes and multi axis mills such as Okuma, Fadal, Toyoda Bridgeport etc. Machinists are a key member of a team striving to continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.

 

Core Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

• Set up and run horizontal or vertical CNC machines and/or CNC Lathes
• Prepare jobs in the machine tools so that machine operators can run batches in an efficient manner
• Ability to determine best inspection process and uses measuring devices and blueprints to inspect parts for quality. Responsible for adherence to 1st Articles and Quality Inspection Plans.
• Ability to machine prototype parts with minimum supervision and without formal prints
• Ability to create and troubleshoot CNC programs on machine controls for prototype parts
• Verifies operations to be performed and material to be used on each job as directed by the production order or area Leader
• Ability to select and set up tooling for a new job and trouble shoot tooling issues on existing jobs

Competencies Required:

• Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to set up and operate manual and CNC multi axis machine tools
• Ability to edit part programs
• Able to read, understand, and analyze Engineering drawings
• Ability to use precision measuring tools / instruments
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to operate a computer for logging time, data collection and pulling procedures
• Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to work independently

We have a flexible schedule internship opportunity available in our Machine Shop.  We will consider those students that are currently enrolled in a 2 year Machine and Tool program. We operate both manual and Computer Controlled multi-axis lathes and machining centers. 1st shift runs from 6:00 AM-2:30 PM Monday - Friday and 2nd shift runs 1:30 PM-12AM Monday- Thursday.   Interns have the opportunity to work a flexible schedule while attending school. Education and Experience Background We Seek:

  • An Associate's level degree is REQUIRED.  A Bachelor's level degree is PREFERRED.

  • Must be highly organized, analytical, and have an extreme attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

  • 2 years previous supervisory and human resources experience required.

We are seeking a full-time employee for a Night Machine Watch opportunity at our hatchery operations located in Foley, MN.   This is an hourly, non-exempt, benefits eligible opportunity.

Select Genetics is the world's largest supplier of quality turkey poults, and an industry leader in poultry genetics and agricultural innovation.  We use our expertise in these areas to provide the highest quality eggs and poults (baby turkeys) at the greatest value to integrated food marketing companies, our own commercial production farms and independent turkey growers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Pneumatic, plumbing and (limited) electrical repair of incubators and hatchers.
  • Hourly checks on temperature in controlled rooms.
  • Hourly checks on poults waiting to be picked up to ensure their health and well-being.
  • Keep hatching machinery running at peak performance.
  • Start up equipment for day’s hatch.
  • Record data accurately and effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must be self-motivated, responsible and work with little to no supervision.
  • Must be safety oriented.

Schedule, Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting wage is $13.00/hour with increase available after 60 days
  • This is a night shift position. The hours are 6 pm to 6 am. There will be a two week training period on days and then will switch to nights.
  • Rotating weekends with alternating 36 and 48 hours per week:
    • Week 1- Monday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
    • Week 2- Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

General Farm Laborers – Starbuck, MN

Select Genetics, a poultry company headquartered in Willmar MN, has full-time openings for general laborers at one of our flagship breeder farms located in Starbuck, MN.

Qualified applicants should have agricultural experience or be willing to learn/grow in the field, be able to repetitively lift up to 20 lbs. as well as bend and stoop, work in a fast paced environment, be able to work in the turkey barns assisting other employees for the general care of turkeys.  Ensure adequate feed and water supply, healthy environment, and general light duty maintenance as well as assisting with the cleanliness of the barns and surrounding areas.  Required to follow all site specific bio-security rules.

Selected applicants will be required to pass a drug screen and must have personal transportation.

 

Hours: 40-48 hrs. expected work weeks, to include some weekend hours.
