Farm Service Elevator uses 6.5 million bushels of corn to manufacture over 350,000 tons of poultry feed sold primarily to commercial farms and independent poultry growers throughout Minnesota.

Summary of Responsibilities Include:

  • Hands on with the mill operations involved in receiving, drying, mixing, load-out and related grain/mill equipment

Purpose : To provide pick-up and delivery service for LSI and affiliate companies and perform other miscellaneous duties including :

Courier
• Planning and adhering to an efficient schedule that meets the needs of his/her customers
• Picking up and delivering a wide variety of items from all LSI companies and external entities; items include paperwork, small parts, groceries and more.
• Driving a company vehicle, loading and unloading items for delivery
• Delivering daily deposits to several financial institutions
• Picking mail up from the post office daily; including sorting and distributing internally

Light Maintenance
• Performing light building maintenance duties, such as organizing and sweeping the basement or changing light bulbs

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Engineering of SA-related solutions for various project and operational needs
• Maintain Microsoft Active Directory forest and domains for the company, including DNS and DHCP technologies which integrate into AD
• Ensure all servers have been secured, including patches and local firewalls, and identify any areas of concern that put company data and resources at risk
• Maintain Hyper-V hosts and clusters system wide
• Maintain system applications including Exchange, SQL, Remote Desktop Servers, etc.

• Apply OS patches and updates on regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities
• Automate OS and application patches and updates on a regular basis for workstations and servers
• Automate installation of operating systems and applications for workstations
• Automate collection of hardware and software data from all computers (virtual and physical) for asset management and license auditing in real time
• Manage Virtual Machine Manager to manage all Hyper-V hosts and clusters system wide

The ideal candidate will have the following educational and experience background:

    • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Systems Administer role
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in a variety of qualified technical roles
    • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
    • Proficiency in Microsoft’s portfolio of enterprise platforms including Exchange, SQL, Active Directory, SCCM, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Services, Azure, Office 365
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues

Education and Experience Background We Seek:

  • Bilingual in French or Spanish and English, both verbal and written business communication proficiency is REQUIRED.

CNC Machinist - 1st Shift

Nova-Tech Engineering, a worldwide leader in hatchery and agricultural automation solutions located on the MinnWest Technology Campus in Willmar, MN, has full-time employment opportunities available to join their Manufacturing Team in the role of CNC Machinist on the 1st Shift.  Nova-Tech is a thriving organization with a unique culture and fantastic environment to work in.

This shift runs from 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday- Friday.   This role is responsible for setup, prove out and running production parts in a repetitive batch environment on CNC lathes and multi axis mills such as Okuma, Fadal, Toyoda Bridgeport etc. Machinists are a key member of a team striving to continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Core Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
• Set up and run horizontal or vertical CNC machines and/or CNC Lathes
• Prepare jobs in the machine tools so that machine operators can run batches in an efficient manner
• Ability to determine best inspection process and uses measuring devices and blueprints to inspect parts for quality. Responsible for adherence to 1st Articles and Quality Inspection Plans.
• Ability to machine prototype parts with minimum supervision and without formal prints
• Ability to create and troubleshoot CNC programs on machine controls for prototype parts
• Verifies operations to be performed and material to be used on each job as directed by the production order or area Leader
• Ability to select and set up tooling for a new job and trouble shoot tooling issues on existing jobs

Competencies Required:
• Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to set up and operate manual and CNC multi axis machine tools
• Ability to edit part programs
• Able to read, understand, and analyze Engineering drawings
• Ability to use precision measuring tools / instruments
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to operate a computer for logging time, data collection and pulling procedures

Nova-Tech Engineering, a worldwide leader in hatchery and agricultural automation solutions located on the MinnWest Technology Campus in Willmar, MN, has full-time employment opportunities available to join their Manufacturing Team in the role of CNC Machinist on the 2nd Shift.  Nova-Tech is a thriving organization with a unique culture and fantastic environment to work in. This shift runs from 2:00PM - 2:00AM, Monday - Wednesday and 2:00 PM- midnight Thursday (no weekends).   This role is responsible for setup, prove out and running production parts in a repetitive batch environment on CNC lathes and multi axis mills such as Okuma, Fadal, Toyoda Bridgeport etc. Machinists are a key member of a team striving to continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.

 

Core Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

• Set up and run horizontal or vertical CNC machines and/or CNC Lathes
• Prepare jobs in the machine tools so that machine operators can run batches in an efficient manner
• Ability to determine best inspection process and uses measuring devices and blueprints to inspect parts for quality. Responsible for adherence to 1st Articles and Quality Inspection Plans.
• Ability to machine prototype parts with minimum supervision and without formal prints
• Ability to create and troubleshoot CNC programs on machine controls for prototype parts
• Verifies operations to be performed and material to be used on each job as directed by the production order or area Leader
• Ability to select and set up tooling for a new job and trouble shoot tooling issues on existing jobs

• Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Works with Business Systems Team and other groups to solve problems and implement opportunities to improve Microsoft Dynamics AX processes
  • Acts as liaison between Engineering, Sales and Marketing and Manufacturing team members

Technical Services- Level II Team Member

We are currently seeking applications for a full-time opportunity on our Customer Service Team in the role of Level II Technical Services Team Member.

This role will be responsible for a variety of customer and departmental technical support services such as engaging the clients with advanced troubleshooting, as well as assisting with the introduction of new product and services to the field.  This role requires an individual willing to seek out and create improvements on NTE’s various product lines, our processes, as well as our support tools. Your role is critical as a key representative through customer technical support and feeding valuable information to the engineering team.

Customer Support

  • Provide troubleshooting advice for our existing and new products for both domestic and international customers.
  • Support Account Managers with technical solutions, industry knowledge, schematics, and beak treat analysis.
  • Create documents such as parts catalogues, technical manuals, or troubleshooting procedures.
  • Train internal and external clients on technical aspects of NTE products such as proper use and troubleshooting.
  • Manage Technical Services email account.

New Product Development

  • Install and support pre-production engineering equipment.
  • Liaison with customers to establish test protocols to prove out our new product efficacy.
  • Submit timely and valuable feedback to engineering to further product development.

Data Analysis and Management

  • Utilize Customer Relation Management (CRM) Software to record customer events, interactions, and to manage customer information.
  • Determine, prioritize, and coordinate projects to improve data utilization and analysis (e.g., H.D.A. Alarm System).
  • Gather customers' machine data, generate useful reports, and effectively communicate the information to customers.

Education and Experience Background We Seek:

  • Professional verbal and written business communication proficiency is REQUIRED.
  • College level educational background related to Animal Science, Agriculture, Engineering, and/or Business.
  • An Associate's level degree is REQUIRED.  A Bachelor's level degree is PREFERRED.

About the Opportunity:

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee morning set up of Poult Service Room each day
  • Be proficient at and train new employees in Service Room procedures including toe trimming, PSP operation, swamping, Animal Welfare and general operation
  • Support Service Room in daily objective of operating smoothly and efficiently
  • Monitor work flow and direct employees as needed
  • Verify, perform and/or delegate various QC checks and cull pick up
  • Monitor performance standards of Service Room personnel on a regular basis
  • Check daily orders, determine which vaccines & treatments are needed for each
  • Mix and monitor levels of vaccine on PSP machines as needed
  • Assist Supervisor with flock number changes, counts and orders
  • Change needles and clean PSPs at each break
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records of all related servicing equipment
  • Perform light maintenance as required on Service Room equipment
  • Communicate with Maintenance relating to their services needed on equipment and climate control in Service and Poult Holding Rooms
  • Oversee cleaning at end of day, appoint each person to cleaning duty, train or delegate training of new employees in aspects of cleaning
  • Assist with final counts at end of servicing for each day
  • Fill in for Supervisor when needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
