AgForte/Willmar Poultry Company has a full time, career opportunity for a Poultry Breeder Supervisor to join our turkey breeder operations.  Our operations have a well-established, operational structure for a Supervisor to easily transition to, or a new graduate will find advantageous and supportive.  This opportunity will require you to provide strong support and resources to our independent egg producer and company farms, located throughout Minnesota.

You will be responsible for the overall egg production, flock well-being, barn conditions and bio-security. This position would also ensure the compliance of policies, procedures and regulations in the turkey industry. In addition, day-to-day administrative and record keeping tasks related to overall management would also be a key responsibility.

The Ideal Candidate Summary:

Turkey breeder production is an evolving industry.  A successful candidate will come with a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, be self-motivated, have strong decision making, interpersonal, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in poultry production or related animal production field would be preferred but is not required.

Epitopix Manufacturing, specializing in animal vaccine development, is seeking a full-time Production Technician within the fermentation department. This role is primarily responsible for the growth and harvest of bacteria utilized in the process of creating animal vaccines.  Individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment in a ‘roll up your sleeves’ hands-on type of role and can demonstrate strengths in multi-tasking and problem solving will be successful.  Positive attitudes and adaptability a must!  A mechanical aptitude is also beneficial to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities for this Role Include:

  • Operation of production fermenters and associated control systems and oversight of fermentation processes.
  • Disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of fermentation equipment.
  • Maintenance of records associated with fermentation processes. Records are kept manually
  • Preparation of liquid media used during fermentation processes
  • Maintains cleanliness of departments for sterility assurance process and procedures.
  • Will work independently and as part of small teams during processes.  Will assist with other duties as assigned. Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintains continuity in work flow.

Nova-Tech Engineering is seeking Mechanical Engineering students available for a six to nine (6-9) month Co-Op/Internship experiences beginning Spring and Fall semesters in 2018. Students must be enrolled in an accredited B.S. Mechanical Engineering degree program and ideally will hold a Junior or Senior year status.  Students will receive an opportunity to gain 'real world' experience as part of a small team of engineers working on various stages of product development.

Summary of Core Responsibilities:

  • Find the cause of equipment malfunctions and repair to like new condition.
  • Determine if all parts are clean, and of sufficient quality for remanufacturing by means of in-process inspections
  • Inspect, test, and measure items to ensure they meet specifications
  • Continually seek process improvements and make recommendations to management
  • May assist in general laboratory type work

The Ideal Candidate Skills and Experience:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to details with ability to handle and assemble small parts and electronic components using hand tools, and soldering irons
  • Experience with or basic electrical knowledge of:  Resistance, Capacitance, TTL Logic, Multimeters, Oscilloscope Operation (highly preferred but not required)
  • Ability to read Electrical Schematics (highly preferred but not required)
  • Ability to recognize non-conformances to inform leads and/or supervisor

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Receive and accurately route telephone calls
  • Greet external visitors and direct appropriately
