With the purchase of an old livestock pavilion on July 25, 1945, Albert Huisinga, Herman Nelson, and Albin Norling began what would be the start of 75 years of pursuing excellence & innovation. A lot has changed in the last 75 years. The company has grown from 1 local company with 3 employees to a group of 8 affiliated companies with 1,600 employees spanning multiple states and countries.

The goal of the founders was to improve the turkey processing and hatching industries through simply “doing things better.” This mindset established a successive pattern of focusing on technology and the pursuit of excellence and innovation, and we have no intention of slowing down now! Seventy-five years has been achieved through the hard work, dedication, and collaboration demonstrated by the employees and team members across all companies.

To observe this milestone, several activities that align with our corporate values are planned throughout the year.
