Production Technician | Small Autogenous

Epitopix LLC, is an industry leader in combatting harmful bacterial diseases that affect the animals we rely on to feed the world.  Our patented vaccines prevent and fight common harmful diseases such as E.coli and Salmonella in poultry (turkey and chicken), cattle, and swine.

We have a full-time Production Technician opportunity available within the Small Autogenous department. This role is primarily responsible for the growth, harvest, downstream processing of bacteria to blending vaccine and filling into final containers in compliance with internal procedures and governmental regulations.  Individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment in a ‘roll up your sleeves’ hands-on type of role and can demonstrate strengths in multi-tasking and problem solving will be successful.

Candidates with experience in fermentation or aseptic processing or educational degrees or course work in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biology, Biotechnology, or Biofuel Technology, are ideal but are not necessarily requirements for this role.

Responsibilities for this Role Include:

  • Aseptic scale up and harvest of bacteria from fermentation processes.
  • Aseptic downstream processing of bacterial cultures.
  • Aseptic preparation and filling of vaccines.
  • Disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of fermentation equipment.
  • Maintenance of records associated with processes to demonstrate compliance. Records are kept manually
  • Preparation of liquid media used during fermentation processes
  • Maintains cleanliness of departments for sterility assurance process and procedures.
  • Will work independently and as part of small teams during processes.  Will assist with other duties as assigned. Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintains continuity in work flow.

Bin Builder-Assembler (Seasonal)

PALS, an affiliate company of Life-Science Innovations, Inc in Willmar, is a retail supplier of agricultural equipment, feed, and medications serving the hog and poultry industries throughout MN. PALS has a full-time, seasonal opening to work on bin building projects.

Summary of Role:

The Bin Builder-Assembler will assist in assembling and installing equipment sold by PALS to customers in the hog and poultry confinement industries.  As directed, he/she will assemble feed bins to the proper specifications. This position will also be expected to perform other labor related tasks as directed. This position will utilize power and hand tools associated with the assembly such as wrenches, ratchets, or drills.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Assemble equipment and/or fabricate parts in the PALS shop.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by completing housekeeping tasks and working on equipment safely.
  • Answer questions or refer concerns by communicating proactively and demonstrating commitment to high quality service.
  • Working at customers locations, assist with installing new equipment and systems in hog and poultry confinement operations. Understand and follow customer’s bio-security policies.

Applicant Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.  No experience necessary, one (1) year of general construction, labor, or assembly experience preferred.

Machine Parts Loader/Operator (2nd Shift)

CNC Machinist (1st Shift)

This particular role will be responsible for the service, training, education, and installation of NTE’s automated processing equipment, both domestically and internationally in locations where you will be interacting with Spanish speaking customers in Europe (primarily Spain) and the United States. Your role is critical as a key representative through continued sales, marketing and customer service.

Education and Experience Background We Seek:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, both verbal and written business communication proficiency is REQUIRED
  • College level educational background related to Animal Science, Agriculture, and/or Business
  • An Associate’s level degree is REQUIRED.  A Bachelor’s level degree is PREFERRED.
  • A Mechanical/Technical aptitude is highly preferred
  • Excellence in Communication, Account Management, and Presentation Skills
  • The availability and flexibility to travel both domestically (in the U.S.A.) and internationally for periods up to two weeks at a time and 14 weeks per year
