PALS is seeking a full-time Outside Project Coordinator to join their team. An Affiliate of Life-Science Innovations, PALS (Poultry Animal Life Sciences) is a retailer and service provider of equipment, feed, and medication distributed within the poultry and hog industry, located on the West side of Willmar, MN

Experience/Educational Requirements:

  • Two year college degree preferred with course work in sales, marketing, construction management, or agriculture related subjects. High school diploma/GED required.
  • Three years of agriculture sales, swine equipment, construction management, and/or farming preferred. Agriculture knowledge required.
  • Valid MN driver’s license.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales staffs’ projects, including but not limited to assist with project bids, problem solving, coordinating deliveries, responding to customers’ calls, accurately quoting and processing sales contracts.
  • Serve as on-site point of contact for internal staff, external customers, and contractors about projects, answering questions, resolving issues, inspecting work, and demonstrating commitment to high quality service.
  • Deliver customers and service staff items needed for completion of the project and coordinate project schedules with warehouse, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Complete basic service work and assist service staff with their duties as needed

Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Payroll Administrator!

Life-Science Innovations (LSI) is seeking a Payroll Administrator focused on ensuring accuracy and efficiency while coordinating the payroll processes.  A best fit is someone who is flexible and adaptable, enjoys problem solving, has a keen eye for detail, provides great customer service, is experienced with HR and Payroll systems, and aligns well within our company culture and values. This position will report to our Human Resource Director and is located at our corporate headquarters in Willmar, MN.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

PAYROLL PROCESS MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION:

  • Oversees compilation of payroll data time cards and other records, ensuring accuracy of payroll.
  • Processes payroll distribution and direct deposits.
  • Researches, analyzes and resolves employee payroll issues effectively and in a professional manner.
  • Compiles and analyzes payroll data, makes recommendations and determinations and prepares related reports.
  • Sets up and reconciles voluntary payroll deductions, prepares reports, identifies and researches exceptions and remits payment to vendors.
  • Processes garnishments which include child supports, tax levies, student loans, WRIT of garnishments, etc.
  • Recommends or participates in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations utilizing knowledge of company, state and federal policies and regulations.
  • Coordinates and interacts with federal and state agencies on issues pertaining to employee compensation, general deductions, benefits and retirement.
  • Maintains 401K Set-Ups and Loan Management.

PAYROLL TAX ADMINISTRATION:

  • Issues W-2 Wage and Tax Statements, and processes reprints as requested.
  • Processes and maintains W-4 tax data and changes in personal data.
  • Files all company payroll quarterly taxes in 13 states.

GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES:

  • Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses this includes rate changes, job changes, direct deposit information, etc.
  • Oversees and process personal mileage driven in company vehicles,
  • Process and set up employee benefits for Qualified Medical Support Orders

The ideal candidate will have the following educational and experience background:

  • High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 5 or more years of payroll and/or accounting related experience.
  • Have an understanding of payroll systems, principles, and processes, including the understanding of regulations related to payroll and taxes.
  • Well versed in clerical and general administration procedures, including Microsoft Suite proficiency.
  • Must be well organized, with extreme attention to detail.
  • Must have a customer-service orientation; excellent communications skills; ability to interact effectively and establish cooperative working relationships with people at all levels of the organization.

CNC Machinist- 1st Shift

Core Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
• Set up and run horizontal or vertical CNC machines and/or CNC Lathes
• Prepare jobs in the machine tools so that machine operators can run batches in an efficient manner
• Ability to determine best inspection process and uses measuring devices and blueprints to inspect parts for quality. Responsible for adherence to 1st Articles and Quality Inspection Plans.
• Ability to machine prototype parts with minimum supervision and without formal prints
• Ability to create and troubleshoot CNC programs on machine controls for prototype parts
• Verifies operations to be performed and material to be used on each job as directed by the production order or area Leader
• Ability to select and set up tooling for a new job and trouble shoot tooling issues on existing jobs

Technical Services- Level II Team Member

We are currently seeking applications for a full-time opportunity on our Customer Service Team in the role of Level II Technical Services Team Member.

This role will be responsible for a variety of customer and departmental technical support services such as engaging the clients with advanced troubleshooting, as well as assisting with the introduction of new product and services to the field.  This role requires an individual willing to seek out and create improvements on NTE’s various product lines, our processes, as well as our support tools. This individual must work well as a SCRUM team member, but also autonomously as travel is required (both domestic and international, up to 30%-40% of time). Your role is critical as a key representative through customer technical support and feeding valuable information to the engineering team.

Customer Support

  • Provide troubleshooting advice for our existing and new products for both domestic and international customers.
  • Support Account Managers with technical solutions, industry knowledge, schematics, and beak treat analysis.
  • Create documents such as parts catalogues, technical manuals, or troubleshooting procedures.
  • Train internal and external clients on technical aspects of NTE products such as proper use and troubleshooting.
  • Manage Technical Services email account.

New Product Development

  • Install and support pre-production engineering equipment.
  • Liaison with customers to establish test protocols to prove out our new product efficacy.
  • Submit timely and valuable feedback to engineering to further product development.

Data Analysis and Management

  • Utilize Customer Relation Management (CRM) Software to record customer events, interactions, and to manage customer information.
  • Determine, prioritize, and coordinate projects to improve data utilization and analysis (e.g., H.D.A. Alarm System).
  • Gather customers’ machine data, generate useful reports, and effectively communicate the information to customers.

Education and Experience Background We Seek:

  • Professional verbal and written business communication proficiency is REQUIRED.
  • College level educational background related to Animal Science, Agriculture, Engineering, and/or Business.
  • An Associate’s level degree is REQUIRED.  A Bachelor’s level degree is PREFERRED.
  • A Mechanical/Technical aptitude is required.
  • Excellence in Communication, Account Management, and Presentation Skills.
  • The availability and flexibility to travel both domestically (in the U.S.A.) and internationally for periods up to two weeks at a time and 30%-40% of the year.
  • Must have a valid US Drivers License with a good driving record and be authorized to work in the US.

  • Will be expected to keep work areas clean and rotate cleaning duties with team members

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be physically able to stand up to 2 hours at a time and lift up to 40 lbs
